T Minus 167 Days

5.5 months to go!  So I decided to post a pic because I was too lazy to fill you in on whats been happening on the Disney front.  Then I decided, why not it's been a while since I wrote anything decent, so here goes.

I finally found out my pay rate for doing casual work at Intellectual Disability Council - I was expecting it to be around the $15 mark being non profit and what not.  Turns out its basically four times as much as I will make an hour at Disney!  Woohoo!  So the savings going well, I was worried for a while there but it seems like it will all go to schedule.


Then this week I started my internship at the Starlight Foundation, basically working on getting sponsorship and donations for their biggest national event which is actually really cool.  I was worried it was totally out of my depth but I think I might do alright at it.  Only time will tell.  Everyone there is really nice and on my first day I had a welcome sign with glitter stars sprinkled everywhere, was super cute and everyone was really welcoming.


Oh and Spanish is going OK.  It's hard and I really haven't had time to practice but I'm learning a lot which is good.




OK now onto the Disney stuff!






I got an e-mail, I got an e-mail!  Yayy, only four days after everyone else when I emailed them asking why it hadn't arrived yet, but still I got it.  


It mostly talks about getting our police checks done asap as well as medical insurance which is terribly confusing and I have no idea what it covers because it seems to be only $100 which would be a huge cost saver and I think I would now be set to cover all my expenses and money for Disney!  Yay,  anything I earn now will just be a bonus!


I'll try to keep you updated.  Not a lot has really been going on though.

T Minus 180 Days

So yesterday was officially six months until D Day!  


Although nothing really on the D front has happened.  I guess at the moment I'm just in the process of looking at flights, although I pretty much know I'm going to Fly Delta or code share V Australia to get my  frequent flyer points up.


Other stuff that needs to be done over the next few months is:

• Visa Paperwork
• Visa Interview
• Medical Insurance
• I'm sure a thousand other things that I can't remember.

Seeing as I have nothing to talk about, I figured those of you not in the Disney Know may like to know more about some of the basics.


Oh I really suck at posting this is like the tenth time I have come back to this and I can't figure out what to write.


I wish Disney would email me!  I think I gots to wait til April before we get anymore info.


I'll just treat this as a Diary.

Hello,

I've been stalking a lot of the January 2012 Disney starters blogs and  there is one hugely apparent trend, that being, they have no time to update/write.  So I've decided I'm going to update once a week on anything thats been going on.  Lately, there hasn't been much at all, so this week I decided to post one of my favourite songs (that pretty much won me a trip to Fiji last year, but that's another story) who teamed up with Disney to do a remix of some sort.  

I think I need a theme song for my Disney adventure, if anyone has any idea's post them below :)

T Minus 200 Days!

Til D Day!!


As one of my fellow cast members posted on our cute little Disney Aus/NZ Facebook group, it is 200 days to go! Ahh cue screaming.  Although its weird being in America and starting to look at things like flights back to America.  Odd.  I have one week left here so once I get back I can start getting organised.  Although, Disney have said not to do anything till April when we can start submitting visa forms etc.   


I'm fairly flexible with when I want leave, as I don't think I'll arrive in the US too much earlier, I'd prefer just to get over the jet lag and start, but I could be persuaded to detour via NYC.  So with that in mind I'll just wait till around April to book flights, V Australia tend to have their sale flights around three months before the date.   I think I'll also just book the return ticket for a late date in January, but that will depend on if I get a grad job or not.  either way, Im thinking I'll leave around the 25th of Jan.

Sneak Peak

Hey World,
